"The biggest thing for me was not being a party to bisexual erasure because I am married to a cisgender, heterosexual male. And for a while, for the longest time, I was like 'well it's comfortable, I can pass' but then I really looked at that and thought, well, it's not fair to anyone else who's looking to come out or looking for someone in a similar situation because, like I said, it just contributes to erasure. I think it's my duty to be out as a faculty or staff member...so that students can look for someone maybe in a similar situation."
