"I came out as a lesbian in 1999, but I came out as queer in probably 2005 or 04...I think how I felt with certain aspects of titles like being ma'am-ed or being miss-ed, that really doesn't work for me so even though the pronoun really doesn't matter to me very much, that does. I think the other piece that happened was, what kinds of people I was attracted to started to change from really being very women centered to being like oh, there's all the grays in between and I don't really want to look at people that way, I don't really think of people that way, and I don't think of myself that way."
