"I feel like the poly movement, if there is a movement, is actually fairly recent. We didn't even know what to call it in the beginning, it was just what worked and what happened and what we kind of fell into...it [didn't] make entire sense and we were just like 'okay' until we found there were words for it and there was kind of a burgeoning community for it...but after [marriage equality] we abandoned our poly families and we abandoned that idea that we could be radical and we could be different and being different is okay."
